We listen, act, and transform
My Journey
I have worn many hats throughout my life — student, school teacher, artist, and therapist. I was born and raised in New York, NY, and have also lived in Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and now Maryland. I am bilingual, speaking native-level conversational Spanish, though English is my primary language. I have been married for over 32 years and have one adult daughter.
My interests include the arts, health, and spirituality. I have worked in the counseling field for over 17 years with clients across different age ranges and now focus on adults aged 18–50. I am particularly interested in relaxation techniques for anxiety, such as EFT-Tapping, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), though I also integrate person-centered and solution-focused therapies. I often combine CBT with relaxation techniques to support clients dealing with depression and anxiety.
I am a licensed therapist with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors, hold a master’s degree in Counseling Science from Frostburg State University, am certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Please note that more severe cases — including serious depression, anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, suicidal ideation, psychosis, and substance abuse — require in-person care, which I am unable to provide via telehealth at this time.
I look forward to meeting you and exploring how I can support your journey toward well-being.
